The May 2017 President's Message from Ken Tatsch of USDAA.
The Regional Championships have ramped up. The Southwest (CA) and North Central (MI) regionals were held earlier this month and the Northwest (WA) regional took place over Memorial Day weekend. Title Mania - East was held in Rhode Island over Memorial Day weekend as well. June is even busier with four Regional Championships as competitors set their sights on the 2017 Cynosport World Games being held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, October 25 - 29. In case you missed it the information on hotels for Cynosport was posted at the end of April. Please visit http://www.cynosport.com/travel-hotels/ for details.
Last month the IFCS World Agility Championship held in Valencia, Spain turned out to be one of the most competitive international events of the year. It is exciting to see IFCS's continued growth. This year's event attracted top competitors from around the world as the Russian team continued their dominance by earning the most medals at 35, with Italy and Canada tied for second with 14 each. Andy Mueller and Crackers captured two medals for Team USA.
The 2018 IFCS World Agility Championship is scheduled for April 25-29 at Circolo Ippico Di Castellazzo, an equestrian complex near Milan, Italy. The 2018 World Team Selection Rules are currently being updated and they will be published on www.usdaa.com by Friday, June 15th.
Good luck to all competitors as we enter the summer agility season!
